Thanks for the fights 2/26/2008

I got sick of "Moronic Tuesday" in the MA so decided to log into the AvA because I saw a few numbers. I wanted to continue DLing skins from the skin pack update so it had to be some sort of online arena. :D

Allies were outnumbered so I went there. Take off, get a little upset at the gangbang going on, end up being shot down off my own runway by 4:1 axis advantage.

Decide to play it their way. Take off from another field, P-40B, 50%, get a little alt (just about as much as the axis had, not talking 15k or anything!) and flying around. Had some fun covering folks, sharing targets (sort of like setting up for another player, that kind of thing), playing bait, doing a little turning, a lot of diving.

To all the detractors of the allied planeset, you cannot complain about the "weak" guns because all the axis planes go down with as little as a short burst! The 109e and 110c are pilot kill magnets. The a6m lights up fairly easily. They don't NEED cannon to kill!

Anyways, I flew around til I was out of ammo and low-ish on gas. When I landed I had 6 kills with no rearms. I then upped a hurr1 and got 3 kills in 60 seconds after joining the fight (got this on film!). Those .303s hurt.

Don't count out the allied planes because they lack cannons. Just shoot straight :D

Heck, if *I* can get 6 kills in a p-40B, imagine what a GOOD stick can get??

Anyways, wanted to say thanks to all the folks that covered me at times and in general flew with me. Ruaml, plink, and the others. I'm terrible with names so forgive me if I can't remember who else was there.

I never got to fly Rangoon scenario but would have liked to. The AVG interests me, P-40B vs A5m2 (the most common axis plane last night) let me just imagine I was flying over China for a bit. Oh, and the tactics work just as well in-game. Zeke gets on my six and I just nose down and he falls off.

P.S. Oh, and I guess I should thank the axis, too! :t

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

You should try it more often Krusty.  For on the complaining and whining, the AvA really isn't that bad.  Also, it's good to hear a rational comment coming from an allied point of view.
