*edit* meloncholy shouldn't translate to emotionless. It can be even more powerful than others. Just not with these two.

okay, here's a different one from almost the same time... except they mean it. I know that sounds stupid, but I don't know how else to say it.

Three Dog Night were fantastic.  I wish they could get over their differences and get back to making music before one of them kicks off.

Probably my favoraite act from the seventies.

I had the pleasure of seeing them in the mid 80's, in a little bar down in North Charleston, S.C.  Wouldn't mind seeing them again.

got the same link saved crockett.

S and G are one of the best bands of the past 40-50 years.

In the clearing stands a boxer, and a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down or cut him
til he cried out in his anger and his shame
I am leaving, I am leaving, but the fighter still remains
Yes he still remains

I have always found most of their songs quite "powerfull" and don't have a clue what TxMom is thinking.

According to Wikipedia

"In a July 20, 1972 interview for Rolling Stone, Jon Landau asked: "What is it that the mama saw? The whole world wants to know." Simon replied "I have no idea what it is... Something sexual is what I imagine, but when I say 'something', I never bothered to figure out what it was. Didn't make any difference to me."

Either way. Hell of a song
Not a half bad video either
