Brought an N1K2-J home without elevators a long time ago.  Landing was...interesting.

I've landed without elevators several times.  I even ALMOST landed on a carrier once this way (ended up barely overshooting).

It's a bit of a challenge, but very doable assuming you take your time, and plan your descent VERY early.

I've landed with no rudder many more times.. much less difficult than a no elevator landing.

And of course... many more successful landings missing half a wing... some planes is almost impossible, while others aren't that difficult.

I once landed in a town with no engine and a pilot wound.. blacked out right at touch down and came to sitting on the ground (on the gear at that!)... ON THE PAVEMENT!  That was pure luck though.

landed a ki-67 awhile back with no rudder elevator or ailerons flew it about two sectors on throttles circling every once in a while!
my squadies were amazed, and yet annoyed by the fact that i wasted 45 min.s to do so, while they were taking bases, but i landed three kills that trip!:aok

I've landed twice with out elevators; once in a B-17 and once in a Bf 110C. I was able to control the pitch of the B-17 with the throttle alone but that wasn't the case with the Bf 110C. I almost ran out of fuel before I was able to get the Bf 110C lined up with the runway.

Apparently, that's a lesson I still need to learn.  I definitely "fear when I hear the groan" now.

Yes, its in timing the landing, and using throttle.
