I've been checking prices on these. The $150 are pretty damn sad. I'm loathe to get one. I'd go instead for the $210-ish range for a 2.0 x16 mobo. If/when I get a tax refund I'm thinking of doing that.

Reviews on newegg are not so good for the "cheap-o" 2.0 x16 boards. So far not many 2.0 x16 boards have just the 1 PCIe slot. I'm not planning on SLI ever, so I wonder if it's cheaper to have a board with just the 1 slot? Oh well.

 Comon Krusty come to the darkside of SLI. The force is strong here.

SLI test; AMD x2 3.2 Ghz
              2 GB Ram Kingston
              2-8800GTX
              1 150GB Raptor HD

  FRS 235-329  with SLI (2-8800GTX)
  FRS 59-63      without SLI  (1-8800GTX)

 Getback; I think that will be using Leopard OS MAC. but other than that I don't know.

Actually, Apple's OS is far more adept at using multiple CPU's than Windows is, regardless of the application.  One of the advantages of starting with UNIX as a base OS.

Good info Skuzzy, I guess my thinking is narrowed to MS PCs. I always wonder why Apple does not make their software available to PCs.

It could happen, if they wanted it to.  The only thing holding Apple back us the lack of applcation support, as compared to Windows.  They would be betting the company on something very risky.
