The Venezuelan army isn't capable enough to take on the Colombian military. They dont have the training nor the equipment for it. In comparison most of the Colombian army is professional and has well near 40 years of combat experience in guerilla warfare & urban warfare.
It wont come to that anyway, Chavez knows none of his soldiers will obey an order to attack the border.
This morning the Colombian Gov. released a preliminary of the items found in the camp of the terrorist leader. Among it, several computers with evidence linking the FARC group to Chavez and the president of Ecuador.. seems they've been selling FARC weapons and supporting them for years..several hundred million dollars worth...
also mentioned was the passing along of some Uranium.
