Vista issues Help?
« on: March 07, 2008, 03:39:18 AM »
Hey
I just got a new computer with vista home premium. When i start aces high sometimes the clipboard doesn't even appear. When it does it sometimes has a page spinning around it. If i manage to get into aces high it works fine but it's unreliable. Does anyone have any advice?
Regards

You need to make sure all drivers are up to date, but more importantly, you must run Aces in compatibility mode for WinXP (google compatibility mode if you're not sure)

AMD dual core CPU + Vista menas you have to run the game in Windows 98/ME compatibility mode due to a bug in the AMD dual core CPU we happen to hit.

To work around the problem, do this.

1. Right-click on the Aces High II startup ICON.
2. Select "Properties" from the popup menu.
3. Select the "Compatibility" tab.
4. Check the check box to run the game in Windows 98/ME compatibility mode.

Windows XP users can install a patch from AMD's site to fix the problem.
