I see alot has changed, and some things have remained the same.

I see alot of great talent in here.

And i see some frustration. LOL, the TE is nothing but frustrating, ungrateful, time consuming, & still buggy at times...BUT

It is very, very self gratifying, give yourselves a pat on the back for hanging in there.  
Alittle history who those who don't know me. I am one of the earlier mapmakers. I've been there done that and have the t-shirt. I think i even told HiTech (Dale) on the BBS to go "F" himself. Yup been that frustrated.

A few things, HTC does listen, Is a great crew, and have taken alot of time out of their schedules to create the TE. Yea, it needs work, but it isn't bad.
I've seen it progress and get Much and i mean MUCH easier since it's first release.

Well, keep up the good work!

I have many many tiles and can help in here, you may not get the quickest responces in here, but the TE is in it's own time frame.

I've been going threw my old HD's and cd's i've burned years ago. some are currupted really bad. alot of info has been lost, but alot has been saved. I found some old screen shots from 2000 and 2001, I'll see if i can post some, Hey not bad still. Hey, i can remember when my biggest rant was we had no shore line.

NUTTZ, was it you that at one point posted a Tile Creating Tutorial for AH1?
Do you have the time to recreate a tutorial that would work for the AH2 Tile system.
(By tile I am referring to the texture tile, not the object tiles)

That is one thing in my time creating terrains (since AH1) I have meant to learn but never got around to)

Raptor, that was Nuttz that made the tutorial.

He inspired some of my offline work with it.

The tile system isn't all that different from AH1 except that all sub-tiles must blend(tile) to the master tile since it's used for tile boundaries (blending to other tiles). IE: 0101, 0201, 0301 must all blend to 0001

And you can do a real no-no and edit the alpha textures so tile boundaries don't exist. Then make what is it now...32? separate tiles to use on a terrain

Gosh I wish we could start using the term textures instead of tiles.
