The Skins, and Trouble With Allied Air Command
« on: March 12, 2008, 09:49:44 AM »
Ok, I have followed the Skin process to the letter, I used the p51d and was successful in making ONE skin for the offline play, (Haven't decided if I wanna pay for the online yet, but looking good) Now, I tried to skin a p47d40 and have been unseccessful in my endeavors, Any Ideas on what I am doing wrong?

I Copy the original bmp into the newly renamed folder, I use Psp to edit the skin (usually I add Nose art, and some limited color changes) but I always stay in the 256 Color scheme, And Still none of the changes or skins work, Ideas?

Lost over Luftwaffe Air Space........

Try this:

You really need to switch to RGB (millions of colors), do your editing, and then down-sample back to 8-bit (256 colors) when saving.

Actually the Millionsof colors helped alot, also I discovered that when you name the TXT file, it should remain the same as the BASE file your modifying, i.e. P51D.txt and not the default, p51d.txt  This helps alot!  Thanks for your help.

The object file (the txt file) is not case sensitive that I know.
