I love the idea of no Enemy icons more than 1 2 or 3 k away but i feel friendly icons should be able to be seen fartherthan 3k maybe like 5

Nah, I tried it about 70-80 times the other day, against two parked right in the hanger.

I discovered that the T-34 does indeed traverse faster after being shot about 50 times in a Panzer. Still not fast enough though. My strategy was actually to run them out of shells and then whack them, unfortunately, the base was capped before that happened.

So take the back door away. Make it abit more of a shootout, or force them to try to destroy the VH, rather than camp it, it will do the game good.

That's odd, we kill the VH campers in that very same manner many times.
It does take a good deal of practice to coordinate the move to turret and start the swing soon enough, and you also need to have the timing exact.

we do have this...i was chassing a spit over a friendly base and i got hit by  friendly ack and engine oil leaked
