in KOTH, once shot down, you can go into CM eye mode, and fly around without a plane and watch the people

you come up as a small little dot, thats what dots are.

you can probably try producing the same effect by haveing a friend fly a bomber and have him go in 3rd person view

I've never seen this. I use CMEyE mode in eXtreme racing and other place like the TA, and I've never seen it before, not even on film... If you look at the film I posted, and just look from My POV, towards Lusche's plane, you'll see the dot, it's very noticeable and distracting; though obviously not the him  ;)

some good ideas, but nothing from htc yet  :pray

yeah, thats why i said it may have been and observer attached to his plane.

I saw something like this.

I was in a NOE raid with my squadies, and we were talking about all the dots we saw flying around us. Then we saw a darbar on the map and it wasnt near where anyone was for the length of the raid.
Halfway there I suddenly died both wings and tail fell off. The guy behind me saw it to...............

no, but observers in CM eye mode show up just like people attached to the planes. your "view point" shows up as a little dot, basically a camera.
