More film viewer wishlist features..
« on: March 03, 2008, 09:09:50 PM »
1)  Playback and view controls in fullscreen mode.. Separate controls for zoom and distance (though something tells me that'd require recoding some stuff), play/pause/stop/skip, playback speed, GUI stuff (icons/trails on/off etc)... Basicaly as much of the stuff we've got in normal screen mode bound to hotkeys.

1b) A tilt control would be useful too, e.g. while in external viewmode.

2)   And a way for the film viewer to set the wheather to what it was in the film.  When you enter an arena, the wheather color settings could get written to the film when it starts... Something like that. :)

Other simple film viewer wishes recently posted, in case you guys at HTC missed em..

I'd like to hear my own guns firing in the playback. Also, how about seeing control surfaces move?

I think the film viewer really is in need of a total overhaul, not just a few tweaks.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I'd also like a check box of sorts to show blackouts, both from excesive G's and Pilot Wounds.

Last time I viewed one of my films in the FV I heard my guns firing. Couldve been me wishing to hear them, but I'm pretty positive I heard them. (This was about 2 months ago.)

I can hear my own engine, but not my guns.

A play speed setting for the start and end settings of the "camera shots" setup.
