Join one of the original World War II Fighter Groups!

We are a Aces High II Squadron representing the 79th Fighter Group ~ Fighting Falcons.

Our group was created in early 2006, and was based on the 79th Fighter Group which proudly served during World War II. The 79th was the one of the first fighter groups to switch from the P-40 to the P-47 and fly the "Jug" or " T - bolt " to the end of the war, and had the some of the most aircraft kills of 1,008 aircraft shot down with the P-47. With an impressive amount of fighter aces in the 9th & 12th Air Force.

This site contains information on both the Virtual and Historical 79th Fighter Group. The Virtual Section contains information about our group in Aces High II, while the Historical contains a wealth of information on the original 79th and the planes they flew. Our mission is to honor these men and keep their memory alive. They flew in harms way, and some gave the ultimate sacrifice so we my all live in a safer world. God bless the men of the 79th Fighter Group. << Salute >>

The 85th, 86th, and 87th Fighter Squadrons are the original squadrons assigned to the 79th Fighter Group.

We fly P-47 as our host fighter. But we do regularly mix up the fighter combination.

We will fly or drive anything. Yes we also do bombing operations.

We have once again opened our recruiting doors. So stop in and have a cold one.

Take a look & Join!   :salute

I might be interested.   Have been a pretty consistent victim of yours.   Flown with the Canadian Eagles quite a bit, learned a lot but not being 100% Canadian they considered me an auxilary.   Tried a while with Dustoff's, some good guys, but others don't really stick with intent of simulation.   Been a Lone Eagle for a few months now.

The 79th FG always has members flying in the evenings all week long.

You can even see us on AH II over the weekends. Check out our website and squad. roster.

Just let the members know that you interested flying with them and possible becoming a member.

If you want to setup a time for flying just send an e-mail.

Maybe we could get together for some flight time.

Take care - GGhost  :aok

So how do I join.   Am currently flying solo.   Moved recently to Knights, finding it to be a good group of guys to work with, with little whining.

He is?

You sure you're not talking about Ghosth?

Either way good luck with your squad. It's good to see more Jug pilots.

Ghosth is probably who he is talking about AH II trainer.

My name is GGHOST - CO of the 79FG.

But the 79FG does have it's own in house training program. And we do regularly help improve our pilots. We have some very good sticks for each with their own specialty. We do at times help members out along the way. We fly and drive anything. Our host fighter is the P47.

Stop in and have a chat... read our recruiting requirements...  And get signed up with the 79FG <S>
