The Doolittle Raid
« on: March 16, 2008, 09:05:57 PM »
On April 18, I will be re-creating the Doolittle raid. On that day 56 years ago 16 B-25 planes rolled off the carrier Hornet and bomb Japan. I have 4 pilots willing to do this: Homer13, Russian6, Mike254, and Turbo10. So I asking for 12 more pilots willing to do this. The time of the mission will be around 8:00 or 9:00pm EST

To do this mission we will take B-25Cs with 50% fuel, 6 500 lbs bombs, and the glass gun. We will take off from a airbase in which we will head towards a cv and land on the carrier. We will then back-up into position and wait for my command to take off and bomb factories. After the bombing we will crash land somewhere away from the bombing. I will record this and place it on Youtube. Reply if you want to take part in this mission.

THE FIRST PRACTICE MISSION WILL BE ON MARCH 20th IN THE TRAINING ARENA 9:00 EST AND ON MARCH 22TH AT 9:00 EST, Hope to see you there<S>

just went into one of the mains and found that it was easy to land the 25c on the CV, but it would not back up, i tried turningaround but it was not easy and i smacked the right engine into the deck.....

guess i will just wait and see if this idea flesh's out any further

Make sure to take command of the CV you want to land on, so no one suddenly turns it on you and causes a mishap.  If i'm online that day and time, ill take part too.

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.

I believe that should be 66 years.  ;)
