Chains, knifes, or guns?

My aircraft are equipped with guns, cannons and bombs. Even my tanks have cannons. And the PTs .... seeing a pattern here. Feel free to bring a chain or knife. To be quite honest it may help .... me. :D

There are places I remember .... arenas,

Though some have changed,

Some forever, not for better,

Some have gone and some remain.

All these places had their moments

With vulches and HOs I still can recall.

Some dweebs died yet still kept living.

Gave my life to one and all.

But of all these goofs and ho-tards,

There is no one compares with you,

And these memories lose their meaning

When I think of AvA as something new.

Though I know I'll never ever win the war now

For bases and ships the enemy pour,

I know I'll waste my time to think about them,

In my Hog I'll love you more.

A sincere  :salute to the AvA staff, I'd never want that job with your player base.

I get it, even if no one else does.  There are only 2 sides deviating from arena play everywhere else except in Snapshot events.  Unlike a snapshot, the ongoing battle brings out the worse in some.  Fatigue, frustration, demands for strategic command (with minute to minute battle plans), and the balancing act (matching AH2 pilot and plane performance with historical concept in mind) has polarized viewpoints.

I have fought on both sides and there are excellent folks on both.  I suggest that we uncomplicate the thing, so we can get back to what we like to do here, DOGFIGHT.  Take away the need to grab land by reseting it or disabling it all together.  Keep the field ack up so that vulching is removed from the playbook.  Do these things, and you will see the good folks on both sides working together to get their fighters in the air.  Make the targets of interest the strats.  You will see bombers with fighter cover and defenders engaging full scale.  Much more fun than pounding the stuffing out of a few guys so that you can claim a victory.  Do this and folks will get satisfaction in playing the game more so than running off with the mouth.

I agree with Easycor that AvA staff has a uniqe player base, but that is not really a bad thing imo.  Energy has to be channeled properly, I hope we are not channeling Attilla the Hun :D

What you just said was the old CT/AvA before this war. We all know how that turned out.

Strats impact the ability to maintain critical supplies (fuel, ammo, troops, ord as supplied by said strat factories, depots, etc) *as well as* research points accumilated and devoted to equipment improvement. For example ... if a map offers enough strat on each side then the command structure can designate factory "A" to develop a newer model of 190, refineries obviously supply fuel and are already hardwired into the game to affect replenishment, troop depots do the same for troops, ammo factoried for ammo, etc (all that remains the same and affects downtime on a field). *Don't* make base capture doubly hard by making object regeneration less than 45 minutes *and* increasing troops needed for capture. If I had my druthers it'd be troop capture increase only. Command structures still designate what they want to develop, be it a plane model (or models) or a gv type (or types). Have strats provide enough potential points for more than three models to be worked on but stretching resources thin by having too many projects presents their opponents with an opportunity to do smaller amounts of damage over a broader number of targets to reduce R&R production just enough to prevent *any* new introduction of equipment. Redundant production increases the odds of new equipment development.

This was an old plan I worked up years ago. And there's more.

I think what Oldman is trying to say is:

Would you CHILDREN stop arguing and fight like grown-ups!?

I tried.  I really did, but I ended up fighting like a complete dweeb.  Still landed two kills my second time up in a HeckFeline.  I tell ya, those Ju-87s are GOOD!

chilli the ackllieds would love nothing better than to circle in their uberack.  I believe the staff have the ack set up correctly as it is.

the ackllieds need to get their **** together and fight!!  last night the axis were out numbered at 2.6:1 for the duration of my involvement and even then they only managed to take three Vbases.

if they would just step away from the ack and attack they would do better thus ending the frustration of which you speak.

my theory is that it is not within the makeup of players who gravitate to the easy rides to be aggressive enough to win.

it really has nothing to do with balance or planes but with the individual players initiative.

This thread has its origins in, and reeks of, hubris. The idea that any way but my way is the wrong way. And why is it the wrong way? Because it is not my way. Now replace the word wrong with any derogatory word: childish, dweebish, stupid... It's still circular thinking - and arrogant.

One may argue that most people don't like it so it must be wrong. Well nothing will make one more universally disliked than telling the truth. Are we to conclude that being truthful is wrong?

What is more childish, squabbling about inconsequential crap in a silly game or being bothered by squabbling about inconsequential crap in a silly game. Is complaining about complaining less irritating. Is deriding the derisive somehow noble? Is it even logical to expect our heterogeneous populous to conform.

Nobody "started it". There is no beginning. No end. It is what it is and always will be until it isn't anymore.

Asking adults to act like adults, and being disgusted that they refuse to is hardly hubris.

The way adults act determines what it is to act like adults. Assuming your opinion of "acting like an adult" is the correct one is hubris. I am disgusted that you are disgusted that they refuse to think like you.
