Found this picture of a Boston with rockets. Tack them on if you would please.

Testing.  Tried in the Pacific too but the weight and drag weren't worth it.

Russian Navy flew its A20G's with a pair of Torpedo locks mounted either side the fuselage suited to 45-36AN Torpedoes. The Black sea fleet apparantly only used the starboard Torpedo lock.

As if bostons werent already usless. But i think Rockets will changed the WHOLE boston concept.

I have a book here with an A20 with 4 rocket pods on it with 3 rockets each.  Rockets are fun to kill ack with.    The pic said it was with the 90th bombardment Sq. in New Guinea.  I'll see if I can find a picture and more info.

I would have to disagree with you I find the plane if you take it up as a single plane & not in a formation is a lot of fun for gv attacks & I have out turned a f4u-c & shot it down in a dog fight don't under estimate it. In a formation it is fast has a good rate of climb & I like taking out the v/h on air bases you can get in fast & your gone before any one climbs to you.

Totally concurr ingressing at 14500ft lined up correctly at salvo 3 the VH and radar are down and your away before anyone (upping) can catch you.

Its a quick mission and you have nuetralised enemy ground defences and removed eyes

the p38 had a outer wing 0 length rocket lauchers they could hold 14 that way they decided to go with the cristmastree launcher insted with 10

they tried to put rockets on a lot of the early war planes later on like the spit5b and sordfish some worked some didnt

The russians also removed the bombbay and added more internal fuel to the naval A-20's as well as arming most with 4 x 20mm (land based as well).
