The P.39 is a good plane, ill give it that.  But it is only good on the deck.  Get it up high and its performance drops.  Use Drag and Bag wingman tactics, making co-ordinated BnZ attacks and they will die quite nicely.  Now if you get suckered into staying low and fighting these planes in their prefered envelope, well then good luck.

Um, I never said the G.55 could not kill the P.38 at alt, I was saying that a G.55 WOULD defeat a P.39 that flew up to 20K+.
I was also saying that once on the deck that same P.39 would be in the position to kill easily the fool hearted G.55 that did not take his BnZ shot then reset up high but stayed low on the deck in a prolonged fight.

*sighs*

Brewster

G. 55

D. 250

Time for HTC to represent some other not so mainstream nations/planes.
Finn, italian, french

Ahem.....the Brewster was an American fighter that was supplied to the British Commonwealth and Finland. Apparently only 44 were supplied to Finland. The obsolete Brewster did have it's best success w/ Finnish pilots however.
