Yak sound
« on: March 21, 2008, 12:02:16 PM »
Was in a panzer yesterday, and was being strafed by a Yak U, I had no sound from the Yak. I can hear other A/C just not the yak. Not a complain (yak still dies) just FYI.

A lot of pilots cut their engines when attacking GV's to help hide their presence.  Often, the GV driver is only listening for aircraft and can be caught unawares.

Well CMC, I can't count that out, but I never got a peep out of the Yak, even when circling over me.

Check your sound files.  If you are using any custom sounds, maybe the ones for the yak are corrupted.  Also, try upping a Yak offline and see if you hear your own engine sound.  If it only happened this one time and not since, then probably a local and temporary resource issue on your end at the time.  If you find you don't hear it when testing offline or if you play the sound files, then something is likely wrong with them (the sound files).

Just a suggestion.
