IMO cv landings are one of the hardest non combat challenges in this game. It took me over a year to learn to land on em and survive and i still blow it half the time after 6 years of playing. :cry I don't even mess with flaps like some of these guys have learned to do i just use my throttle control and fly by feel/sight. In this case the training arena is your best friend, and practice really helps. Just think once you get fighters to land you get to try bombers. :D B25 is a blast to land and launch from the cv.

I guess the navy trained it's pilots on runways before they did the whole crash-on-a-boat thing.

When I first started making carrier landings in AH, I sucked big time.  So I practiced 3 point "plants" at the end of the runway- basically, the goal was to have all 3 wheels down on the ground at the same time, and right by the rearm pads.  Once I could do this on a regular basis, I was making landings on the CV no problem.

It's all mental, dude. Just remember that ;)
