More SAPP P38 landing do's and don'ts
« on: March 25, 2008, 11:09:11 PM »
From a generally silly evening in the MA.

Always try for a three point landing.  I found that 2 prop blades and the radio mast work well.

If neccessary a 2 point landing will work however as I discovered tonite.  Both engines shot out, and trying to glide it to the beach.

I can honestly say I've never landed with just two wheels down in a 38.  I had no idea it could happen until tonite :)

Of course this only leads to single rudder removal

Beach obstacles proved to be helpful as they  removed many more 38 parts

And helped in sending me into a nice half twist into the dirt :)
