I'm still around cuz I know GOD has a sense of humor.

I'm waiting for the "Punch Line".

Sometimes it feels like GOD is beating me with the watermelon end of the stick and Jesus is holding me down saying "Don't get up..."

But I do get back up.  You will also Bro.

Ah, the first year in the military blues.

We all went through that.

Only diff was I went on a Med. cruise, not some foreign hotspot.

It'll get better, it just seems like it takes forever.

Red Bull is not anything like adding Rum or Vodka or Tequila or whiskey to Gatorade. I was stupid back in college and we did that quit a bit.

Hmmm.

Blue, before you went off to boot camp, did I forget to tell you that about 90% of your fellow recruits are going to act like retards whenever off duty, and following their advice/example, especially on Fri night, is a really dumb thing to do?

The best advice I EVER got at the Academy was from a senior cadet while I was a junior...  Some other cadet got a DUI and had to apologize to the cadet wing from the wing podium during breakfast.  The senior looked at everyone at his table, pointed at the guy on the mic, and told us all "You see that guy?  Don't be that guy".  That's my best advice, evar...  Don't be "THAT GUY".  And it isn't just about booze, it's about anything that will get you attention for doing something dumb.

Anyhoo...  I hope next week goes better.  Since you're posting here, I assume you're not in jail (anymore?) so that's good...

Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

Bluej,

Everyone makes mistakes. Some get caught others seem to skate for a while. The adult learns from the mistake and makes changes to avoid more in the future. If your GF was that flighty on you, it's far far FAR better to have found out now rather than later when you may have had to depend on her for something.

Hang in there bud.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Red Bull+ Gatorade, that's where it's at.
