April Fools....

Please don't be too angry with HTC....

I did radio for 24 years, and April Fools Day is the Purim of broadcasting.

One April 1st...told people that the B2 Stealth Bomber was at the local airport (it luckily was a very foggy morning).  Over 3,000 people, double parked minivans, video cameras & kids in tow showed up.  Multiple calls from the FAA to complain.  

Ya CAN'T see the stealth bomber cuz it's invisable...right?

WTG HTC....it's awesome to see that you guys still have a sense of humor in Grapevine!

Wow people really look at the scores??? Last time I looked at mine was over a year ago, when a squaddie told me I was in the top 500. I thought OK cool, but other than that scores mean nothing. Never have, never will. Being number 1 in this game won't even get you a cup coffee so who cares??

I agree, who really cares about score. Ive been on for a year now, and i think my first 2 months i looked at it, after that, i havent seen it since.

Hmmm...sounds like you ripped off Dave, Shelly and Chainsaw's famous Space Shuttle April Fool's Joke from about 15 years ago which is ranked as the #32 all time April Fool's prank.  One would have thought that a joke that brought out 3,000 people and massive complaints to the FAA would be listed, unless of course your story is the April Fool's joke.

In 1993 Dave Rickards, a deejay at KGB-FM in San Diego, announced that the space shuttle Discovery had been diverted from Edwards Air Force Base and would instead soon be landing at Montgomery Field, a small airport located in the middle of a residential area just outside of San Diego. Thousands of commuters immediately headed towards the landing site, causing enormous traffic jams that lasted for almost an hour. Police eventually had to be called in to clear the traffic. People arrived at the airport armed with cameras, camcorders, and even folding chairs. Reportedly the crowd swelled to over 1,000 people. Of course, the shuttle never landed. In fact, the Montgomery Field airport would have been far too small for the shuttle to even consider landing there. Moreover, there wasn't even a shuttle in orbit at the time. The police were not amused by the prank. They announced that they would be billing the radio station for the cost of forcing officers to direct the traffic.
