Bit of a step down from the Jaguar and Maserati showrooms behind the Beemer, no?

I've gone Euro too recently, I test drive it on Friday.

Well...I decided with the gas prices going up...I'd look at a new car. I really wanted something a bit sprty since the wife has the mini van now...and I don't really need the SUV for what we got it for. I also wanted a bit of luxury as well and fuel economy. SO , I been shopping....and this looks like the one. If the deal is good when the guy calls me....I'll prolly pick it up and Thursday. If not sooner. It's used...But comes with warrenty and all.

Nice car.  However know that by buying a Non-US / Domestic automobile, you waive all rights to whine about the economy.

Depends on the model year.

Yep. I think '03 they started doing clear with amber bulb on the 3 series.  The '01's were all amber markers. http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL767/2726312/8668097/129243135.jpg

I've seen the back window air thumping in most cars, so I doubt it's a fault in the 3 series design specificaly.  I think having one back window down will do it too.
I have a theory on this (as I've noticed it on a few other 4-door autos as well) Glass used to be thicker on autos. Take a calipers and measure the glass thickness on a 70's auto, and do the same on a newer model. Glass on the windows is DEFINATELY thinner today. Thinner glass, more prone to vibration .
