Wing Slat Damage
« on: April 05, 2008, 08:24:04 PM »
Before I say anything I used search button and I didn't see anything.

I think that damage should be modelled for wing slats.  It would make it difficult for planes with them to be slow.  It might also be able to get the wing slats stuck open which would be quite interesting.  What are you're guys thoughts?

Damaging the leading edge slats on some planes would make for some interesting takeoffs and landings. :D

Yah it would be cool seeing a K4 trying to land without slats

Shallow, high speed, no flaps landing. It would present no real challenge, you'd just have to come in quick instead of floating in for a nice and slow landing.

Some pilots used to wire the slats shut to stop them from popping out and screwing their gunnery up whilst in dogfights.
