Lesson learned?
« on: April 06, 2008, 06:37:59 PM »
Guess someone decided it wasn't necessary to send in the storm troopers and burn the compound to the ground this time. I'm certainly glad they gave the BATFE a pass on this one.

Did I miss the part in that article that spoke of members of the compound shooting at Child Protective Services and law enforcement personnel?

Did you read a different article than the one you linked? I saw nothing to indicate any weapons, alcohol or explosives violations were involved. That kind of negates the BATF having any jurisdiction.  :huh
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Where are those automatic weapons that the ATF raided the Waco compound killing 6 in the initial assualt anyhow, hmmmm?
If the ATF had tipped off this west Texas church they were coming in guns blazing they might have met some opposition there also.

This is about some member of the FLDS church, a follower of Warren Jeffs', Who wasn't even in the state at the time. This is simply a large CPS action. So no, you don't have an armed assault.

Ok, I expected the responses I received. I will wait to hear where those weapons are that supposedly justified the ATF's assualt on the Waco church. Without those how is the situation in Waco any different from that in Eldorado?

before waco the ATF was about to be absorbed into the FBI, thats why the ATF had to have operation "showtime", now the ATF is firmly established as a govt bureaucracy and did not need to show how needed they are.

Originally the ATF was going to be absorbed by the Secret Service, but the head of the SS refused to allow his team to be contaminated by members of the ATF.
