Workstation 2008

Given Vista is a pile of cold cat vomit quite a bit of effort has gone into an alternative; turning Server 2008 into a workstation OS.  Yes, it can be done, and apparently done well.  I'm about to put that on my laptop, in fact.

One of the caveats is Workstation 2008 is not entirely game friendly.  Has anyone tried AH under this OS yet?

I'd be interested in hearing the results as well as what it took to get it to run.

...going to have to try on a different machine.  Same old situation where the vendor won't let the OEM release drivers and the vendor won't keep them updated.

Back to XP on that box.  May try again next week with a newer Dell.  I have most of the steps for making a workstation out of Server 2K8 written out for the guys at work if you're interested.  Wont be able to finish until I get past the drivers.
