Jet bomber
« on: April 05, 2008, 09:37:40 AM »
The jet bomber's one plane I rarely see on the battlefield. It seems like they're only issued to ace bomber pilots. Post your thoughts here and see if the jet bomber really does deserve the frontline (no perks cost) treatment that it deserves.

It's a JET BOMBER. It's faster then most planes on the deck. Why would it not be perked? Besides what else are we going to use our bomber perks on?

I like the rarity...if it isn't perked, you'd see 234 missions every day...

I fly it a lot because it is fun to fly, CV busting, cruising around at 7K doing recon, bustin GVs,

234 is not an easy plane to land to recover those perk points- especially the first time when you discover how poorly it slows down. :)

Flying one of these is something I'd like to do more often but never seem to get around to it.

And like Van says, what else would we spend bomber perks on?

Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time

Ar234 is the only plane I've never lost.  I've flown, perhaps, 100 sorties in it and never lost a single one.

i rarely fly em
there are bombers that can climb better, have more range, carry more ord and defend themselves better than a 234 can
I believe that a P-47N has more total damage potential than a 234 has.

No bomber in AH can defend itself as well as the Ar234.   Speed = defense.

5 234s could completely annialate a base taking radar and fighter hangers and possibly the ord if people used them together they would be devastating.

I LOVE the Ar-234. I HATE having to pay for them. But regardless, this plane NEEDS to be perked. It was rare, it outperformes a LOT more aircraft that you think, and is truly perk-worthy.

I love the 234, I have not flown it lately.  But when I did by it was fun, flying into target, droppin, then egressing without a single contact being able to chase me down.  Except when someone spotted me inbound then had a squadie up a 262 just to chase me down while I was in the bomb site.  I don't remember whoom it was, but it is funny to look back on.  this plane is deserving to be perked.  Good bomber in the hands of one skilled at high speed precision bombing.

I'd also say AH has it perked about right. The 234 is at its best when you aim it right at the Lions Den, bust thru a huge cloud of red, bomb your target, and then hit RATOs to escape by the skin of your nose. Its the only perked bomber and without it we'd all have worthless perks we couldnt use. Its a good point tho, that we do need another perked bomber. And Im thinking A-26 here, which should be "lightly" perked.

We have some guys who are highly skilled in the 234. I dont fly it to often so Im only barely competent. But its a fun airplane. And more capable hen a lot of people think.

Flying the Ar-234 is about as fun as playing Microsofts Train Simulator.
