You mean you found infinite oil supplies?
In short, if you're well on the dollar side, you can keep your gusslers going forever.  :devil
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Oil is last on the list of things to run out of and wring your hands.

So if i hear a rustling of paper, that would be the sound of $50 bills blowing out of jackal's exhaust pipe.  :aok

Could you please explain what you mean there?
(And while you're at it, wring your own hands :D)

who here would be shocked and feel betrayed if we found an oil reserve that was bigger than any found so far?

Not shocked or betrayed. Surprised, maybe. My reaction to learning that we'd found such a large reserve of oil would be to wake up and switch on the coffee.

I can recall the 1973 Oil Embargo and being told then that the remaining oil supply was limited and that we would run out. We still haven't run out, yet we still hear that the remaining supply is limited and oddly enough......the time frame for when we will run out has remained essentially the same.

True enough, Elfie. But new reserves were discovered since 1973. The high price of post 1973 oil made exploration of new fields cost effective, when it might not have been before.

LOL, sure go to the next gas station. The problem won't be finding gas, but finding gas that you can afford!

In 2005, the price of crude oil passed $70 a barrel (29 August). Just this year (17 March) it peaked at $111.80 a barrel. That's an increase of 60% in 2 years 7 months.

I'm noticing guys in other threads dumping the guzzlers and considering alternative cars/fuels. Not hard to see why. Guess it's not so cool to guzzle gas after all.

I've got an excursion... and I ain't dumping it.  I didn't buy it because it was "cool."  It's useful, it serves (and will continue to serve) it's intended purpose.

Hey, no problem! You're paying for the gas!  :D

Exactly! If I thought that it WAS a problem, I'd dump it.  So, if someone is willing to keep their SUV's, who are y'all to ridicule them for paying for the expensive gas? It ain't like y'all are paying for it.
