I theorize that there could be very small changes, and/or additions made to improve the graphical look of the game, and make a noticably good difference with little, to no, fps changes.
Little Details, Such as weather, are awesome looks in flight sims, especially with the flight accuracy of AH, however weather bogs down computers, so it was taken off, here's an idea! Perhaps we reduce visual range accordingly, Which would Improve Fp/s, change color of given texture, and add wind, which we have already, i do not promote precipitation, the war was not fought in it, but i think "crummy" weather is fine. Also, to stay in subject, other details are fine, snow-capped mountains could be attained with altitude limits (ie. "Anything above (x) ft. Renders 'SNWCP.res'" or something). I'm sure bugs would show up, but nothing beyond maintenance, right?
Also a texture redo could dramatically improve the look of AH, such as, my pet peeve, the bullet impacts, could be redone took look as if it were an impact versus the Batman style "POW" "BANG" hit. Again with textures, could be grass, dirt, slush, etc. but illused to look as if they are 3-Dimentional, Such as Google Earth's imagery, or Scaling light into consideration while making these "Illusive Textures" Which brings me to my next paragraph.
I'd like to see a newer lighting system, truthfully, if you look around right now if there were'nt shadows and darknesses and light rays, etc. it'd look like a 2002 PS2 game. I'm not sure how exactly demanding it is for dynamic lighting, but if it can be made to mimmick real-life lights, models would look much realer.
That's It For Now,
