CV Animation
« on: June 11, 2008, 06:09:39 PM »
I wish the CV Animation were updated along with the objects. By that I mean I wish the CVs didn't bottom up when sinking, I think it would look better if the ships capsized or fell on their side when sinking.

I like it!!

Also, you would get the message "Ship Destroyed" but it would take, say, 2 minutes for it to actually sink? You could keep taking off of it, but either you would be lopsided while taking off, or you wouldn't be able to carry ord?

I say that the ships should get a semi-complex damage model.

That is, lets say they get torpedoed towards the stern, then they sink stern-first, etc.

Whats the difference? It's still sunk.

Yea, keep us entertained with newer stuff  :D ;)

Plus, that could be a slight adjustment with how slow the CV sinks ( I think).

It was just a guess, but it'd be cool if it worked.

I think when the radar is destroyed on the CV it shouldn't be some large fire with a smoke stack going straight up, it should be multiple small and medium fires all along the tower with thick black smoke that drifts back covering most of the spawn and landing zone and drifts across the ocean surface because the ship is moving. You know what I mean?

Actually it should so a list for every amount of damage on it.  What I mean is if it was hit with, lets say 4k lb's on tower side, it should list about 5 maybe 10 degrees to that side.  If hit in the stern, then the stern will be lower then bow with also a list to 1 side.  Same with Hits to the bow, Bow be lower.  Same should go with all the ships, not just Carrier.  Abiously the list or low stern or bow would eventually come back up to level as the CV repairs itself if it not destroyed first within a limited time.
