P47N fuel gage
« on: April 13, 2008, 09:04:13 AM »
Flew a P47N last night and picked up a hit in my right fuel tank.  The fuel stream came from the right tank and 'control D' showed right fuel tank damge.  But it was the left fuel gage that went down.

Did you switch tanks? I believe the 47's have a two stage indicator where one tells overall fuel level and the other the selcted tank. Could be wrong, but that seems to be how I remember reading them. It has been awhile though. So if the fuel is leaking, but the affected tank is not selected, you would only see it on the left gauge.
Used to fly as Halo46, GRHalo, Hobo and Punk at the end.
