Aircraft Performance Data to use with the Mission Editor
« on: April 14, 2008, 05:42:30 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has compiled any of the following data when they were doing other performance testing. The mission editor uses IAS vs. TAS for all the navigation planning. The planes behave better the more accurately you plan the time, speed, and distance data.

  • Auto-climb indicated airspeed (IAS)(at mil power)
  • Time to climb(at mil power) to 5k, 10k, 15k ect.
  • IAS at 5k, 10k, 15k, ect.

I've been trying to use my CX-1 calculator (electronic E6B) to find these numbers but the conversions are coming out 5 to 10% different.
Does anyone know the temperature and pressure to use in these calculations? I assumed STP but there not coming out like I expected.

Thanks,
