Hamas Cleric Predicts 'Rome Will Be Conquered by Islam'

Let's be clear. This is a guy bottled up in Gaza. That's as much as Hamas has conquered thus far. They don't even have the West Bank. Now he's set his sights on Rome! Maybe he just means the Vatican. It's about the same size as Gaza!

Let's look as Israel completely surrounded by enemies bent on it's destruction. Somehow it's thriving.

When you hear of stuff like that you have to bear in mind the the Arab gift of florid overblown rhetoric. Indeed it's inherent in the Arabic language. All this talk of conquering the Crusaders is just that, talk. If the Arabs had a leader like Saladin and we still lived in a world of archers and cavalry. We might worry. Otherwise rest easy.

As for predictions of the imminent end of the world in 2012. Just so much quasi religious nonsense.

The film will be based on the Mayan doomsday prediction that the world is set to end in 2012.

And yet it's exactly these types of sermons that keep the hate and violence flowing from Islam. Ultimately it's these types of sermons that lead to blown up schools, cafes, buses, trains, buildings etc and more innocent dead.

Odd, both the Bible points at 21-dec-2012 (if I recall right) as well as the Mayans....
And the Mayan calendar was pretty good. Their accuracy was first topped recently...

 

Maybe somebody who can quote it verbatim can add to this, but it is my understanding that somewhere in the Bible, it says that no one can know the end date.

Somewhere it also says that when Jesus returns, there is 1000 years of his rule, so there is 1000 years ahead anyhow.
