When I fire the MG on the jeep, about 80% of the time there are no tracers or muzzle flash.  When this happens hit sprites work, but  ground effects do not show.  What I mean by ground effects is the round hitting the ground and creating that woof of dust/dirt.

it means your computer is glitching it has been hapening depending on how much ram is used if to much it doesnt show musle flashes or smoke

I do not think AH is using 2.5 gigs of RAM, I also thought I saw the same bug with the ostie or WW fixed in the patch.
