film viewer help? kermit?
« on: June 01, 2008, 04:20:09 PM »
Hey guys I'm trying to capture some shots in the film viewer but it seems that whenever I open it it will flash into night time. When I press play the times skip to something rediculous. I'm finding it difficult to work with the film viewer when this happens so frequently.  :salute to anyone who can help me out

I don't know much about the film viewer.  I don't use it.  But, maybe try loading aces high in offline mode.

type this:

.time 9 0 0

That should set the time to 9:00 am and time will not move.  Then exit the game and loadup your file.  That's what I would try.  I'm under the impretion that offline settings affect film viewer settings.

Let us know if it works.

It appears to have worked. I'll see how i go for making what i can. Was going to have good footage of some squaddies. 3 of us were going to take off in formation 2 in front one behind centre. It WAS good until the 3rd guy got cleaned up by a convoy over the field. lol oh well. What do you use if you don't use film viewer kermit? out of interest. anyways i'll get to my movie sooner or later...  :salute and thank you

 :rofl

That convoy is dangerous!  I've had a few close calls lately with those drivers.

FBClaw, start off with something short and keep the energy flowing in yourself.  If you feel excited during filming, that energy will show.  Take breaks and learn from mistakes.  Make sure your film has a goal, whether it's to entertain someone for 1 or 2 min or for recruitment for your squadron, a goal is always important.

Have fun FBClaw.
