Dont tell me.....that suite they put you up in in Paris had one and now you want one for yourself?
Just how steamy do you plan on making that place...> They seem to carry quite a premium for what they are. If its just in a bathroom you might want to consider going with a regular LCD and accepting that it might not last more than a few years. That being said, is that bad thing? Upgrading a LCD after 3-5 years isn't necessarily a bad thing and you could buy at least two regular ones for the prices I have been seeing for exterior rated displays. You might also consider a regular one with an extended warranty as this is one of the scenarios that would warrant the expense. If you were going to leave it outside or use it on a boat you should definitely spring the cash.
Curval,Find a local boat repair place and ask them to build you a polycarbonate box for your desired TV. Polycarbonate is a very tough clear plastic that is used in boat windows and thousands of other things including bullet proof windows. They should be able to build you a box out of one 4’ x 8’ sheet. It’ll cost much less and you could beat on your TV with a hammer all day if you wanted. Bermuda might even have a plastic fabrication specialty shop.
Darn fine idea.
