Here was the Russian plan, hastily prepared and it showed...

 

The plan... Send a strike force from 30 and 31 to enemy fields 17,18,19, and 26 to disable the barracks and end the German fortification at the source.

One group of fighters, Yak9 were sent as both a feint of a strike at 17 and 26 as well as a sweep.

Two other sweeps were over German territory in La-5.
