Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting a fellow AH pilot, and indeed he is a R/L pilot.I sat in the captains seat, and Frenchy sat in the co-pilots seat, explaining to me the various gauges etc. on his twin engined freight aircraft.I wasn't too surprised by the difficulty I had moving the yoke around,as I had heard it was much more difficult in R/L,but it still took a lot of effort indeed.Frenchy told me this aircraft is from the old school, meaning it had to be flown carefully.I quickly went into AH mode, and tried to look back to check the view. The hair on the back of my neck stood up,as all I could see was the left wingtip!Soon the freight truck showed up,and now being loaded,it was time to say good bye.I watched Frenchy taxi the bird out,and wait for his clearence from the tower.Soon he began rolling, and took off in a very short time,as Frenchy said to me,we freight pilots can yank and bank.He banked to the southeast and was Salt Lake bound.I'm better off for the time I had to enjoy with Frenchy, and I will put it in my pleasureable moments in life.
