You are correct.  8 was picked up by search and rescue, tragically 2 were officially announced as KIA.

We lost 8 aircraft not the people. Lost 10 a/c total but only 2 pilots confirmed killed. The 8 that crashed/bailed have all been assigned to refresher flight school. Was just looking back at our combined info for the 2 frames so far and some of the other squads on our side. Pretty impressive.
