1700 block of Palo Verde Street — An 18-year-old man drove down the street about 1:10 a.m. Saturday looking for his siblings, he told police. He saw a number of youths walking out of the woods, and he reported that they were yelling and flashing gang signs at him. He said he threw pickles at them and then made two more trips past them, throwing pickles at them again. After he returned home, he heard a noise and went outside. The teens were throwing pickles at his car, he said. Then one of the teens picked up a bicycle and threw it at his car, causing a dent. An officer talked to the other teens. They said they only yelled at the driver after he started throwing pickles at them and that they threw the pickles back in retaliation. They said the person who threw the bicycle was someone they had just met at a party, and they did not know him. He was gone by the time the officers arrived.
