Craig Ferguson at White House Press Dinner
« on: April 27, 2008, 05:54:14 PM »
Anybody see his monologue?

Between Bush and Cheney, he says,

"Cheney has already started moving out of the VP's residence.  It takes a lot of extra time when you need to move a whole dungeon."

Asking Bush, "What will you do after you're no longer president?  Your retiring as a fairly young man:  Perhaps you could get a new job that has more vacation time."

About Belgium, he says, "Belgium is the Canada of France... with all due respect to Canada, but they're like the apartment upstairs from the party... We're down here all dancing and they're up there saying: 'Can't you keep the noise down?"'

We're like: 'Come to the party, Canada.'  but they say 'We werent invited' and we're like: 'Mexico wasn't invited but they're coming anyways."'

This guy is a riot :rofl

The New York Times unfortunately did not buy a table... They felt, I just want to make sure I get this right, they felt that this event undercuts the credibility of the press. It’s funny, you see, I thought that Jayson Blair and Judy Miller took care of that.

What?? What did I say? What did I say? Did I go too far? Now let me try this: Shut the hell up, New York Times, you sanctimonious whining jerks!...  Look for my good review there coming up soon. I’m guessing Monday morning: 'He’s a star!'

Craig Ferguson is a riot. I enjoyed his films before he took over The Late, Late Show.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

And what brass he's got  :rock
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Funny stuff - probably not quite as biting as Colbert, but still pretty funny

I see Colbert was sitting at the head table too.  That guy's got some stones.
