« on: April 28, 2008, 07:05:38 PM »
Ok Iron Man comes out friday at theaters how many going to see it? I'm really thinking about it as that was my favorite comic book as a kid. I haven't been to a movie in a theater in 20 plus years but i might breakdown and go to see this. What the heck is the cost of a ticket now days anyway? $20?

Of all the movies coming out I must admit I'm really geeked about Speed Racer.  I loved that cartoon when I was little.  I recently rented the DVD collection and it actually stands up well.  My four year old thought it was pretty cool too.  I'll probably take him to see it when it comes out.

It looks like a decent run of movies coming out through may and into June. IronMan looks pretty good if you can stomach RD Jr.

If I lived in the States or Canada I'd be a regular movie goer...assuming that means the kick-arsed theatres I go to whenever I get the chance when visiting.  All kinds of different food available, huge screens, amazing sound systems, awesome steep sloped seating so every chair is guarenteed  to have an uninterupted view of the screen, easy parking etc. etc.?????

As it is, I would rather wait and watch it (Iron Man), or any new relaease for that matter, at home on my plasma when it comes out on DVD.

Oooh... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0481536/

It's about $7 for a matinee depending on where you are.  If you're going to Regal Cinemas and have a Regal Club Card (it's free), you'll get a free small popcorn with admission on Tuesdays.  So, Tuesday matinee is reasonable...ish.

I thought the trailer was good...of course that might be because they used Black Sabbath's "Iron Man".  I wonder if they use it in the movie.

LOL I was food shopping the other day and passed through the toy isle and spotted the HotWheels Mach 5 And Racer X car.

They are both now proudly sitting on a shelf above my desk.
My daughter was with me and when I went ot check ot the casheir looked at the cars, looked at my daughter and smiled.
I immediately dispelled any thoughts he had when I said.
"these arent for her. They are for me.

In the final climatic scene of the movie, Iron Man will battle the evil Titanium Man, in a gigantic clash of metallic Titans.

It will also be interesting to see how well Iron Man does in his dogfight with two F-22 Raptors.
