Not really Sullie.  AirWarrior had a korean arena without the B-29.  They had the Vader but by the korean war the A-26 was redesignated as the B-26 Invader.

I doubt the AH bomber drivers would let the same thing slide quietly here.  I mean really the B29 in Korea was out of date and a sitting duck for the MiGs, not nearly as super as it would be in a WWII setting.  My initial comment was more of a joke anyway so no big deal.

I keep hearing everyone talk about this B29 like its the end all of bombers. Dont you guys realize this airplane sucked? Of course the problems it had could be cleaned up and the random engine failures and fires and brake failures and many many other things done away with and it would still suck. I think it takes more runway then is in the game now has a lower ceiling then the B17 and the only thing its good for will only mean...

Nevermind bring it on I love to kill bombers :D

Why not bring the nuke too so someone can max out the kill counter dropping it on TT and furballs and cv fights? Oh wait maybe the nuke tests are whats causing the white screen lockups! I get it now...

I can guarantee you he's never said that.  Please post a link to such a proclamation.  I don't think you realize how many planes fit that category.

Well even if he didn't Pyro, look at it as job security.  :D

If they get bored, they could always make a bunch of us happy by implementing the OPTION to allow us to choose whether we want to see units on the guages displayed in British (default) or the native units for the guage (like metric for most Axis).

Yes it sucked. It flew so high and so fast it was almost impossible to intercept. It carried 20,000 lbs of bombs, compared to the B-17s 6,000. It incorporated a number of firsts for airplanes including a pressurized cabin, a advanced for the time analog computer defensive fire control system, and eventually a radar for controlling the guns. It had almost twice the range of the B-17. We built about 4,000 of them, "Not counting the Russian made copies", and the system had a service life of about 17 years. The B-29, on its own, almost completely destroyed a modern industrial society including all but one of her cities, almost all her "Japans" industry, and shut down her harbors by airdropping mines. Five years later the B-29 was also highly effective in Korea.

But other then all that the B-29 sucked.:huh BTW do they still teach history in American schools?

I wouldn't say it was highly effective.  If that was the case, USAAF wouldn't have been forced to switch the B-29 from daytime bombing missions to mostly night bomb runs because of the threat the MiG-15 posed to the B-29.
