Nay nay naive, I want to go through there. The area has been closed and should be some good hunting in the forest there. My insurance agent wants in there also.

 But, as our XXL loin cloth wearing New Joysian friend said, "the gate is locked......the gate is locked".

Oh and by the way, and Im sure this will be a shock to you, but,  I think aliens are going through there also.

We are new to the AvA arena. What are the general guidelines, play times, etc..?

Most crowd times are around 8PM to 1030PM Eastern most any day of the week.  AvA has some pretty sharp squads on both sides, and a lot of singletons flitting about as targets.

Word of advice... bring a squad or at least fly in pairs if you want the 'thrill' of WW2 air combat.

Hey A8Balls!!!

Welcome buddy, glad you found your way to the forum.  Things were pushed back due to the Bullentin Boards being offline.

Until the new Battle of Aces starts, just read the MOTD at start of the arena.  Welcome to all the Aces and 8s, I suggest getting used to the new (older style) bombsight calibration.  Getting familiar with the current map.   Getting used to comparing your aircraft in general against it's historical counterpart.

Welcome to AvA 8Balls if you are in alone or even in squad numbers feel free to wing up with us, The Avengers currently flying Allied, on Mon or Thurs , our Squad nights, we will be gald to share our meagar knowledge with you. We do a lot of high alt heavy bombing as well as low alt jabo and we can always use more bombers or escorts.

Thanks for the welcome!

  Since the Aces & 8s are taking a break from FSO, we may decide to dedicate Friday nights to AvA. The BB being down put us a little behind things as far as geting ready, but it shouldn't take us long to get up to speed.
