« on: June 03, 2008, 12:31:28 PM »
I posted my resume on monster for a cabling/installer job a few weeks ago.

I just got a call from a woman that spoke horrible broken english with an oriental accent.

She was calling from texas on behalf of verizon, to tell me about a job in western nj.

Freakin wierd.  :huh

If you're near Tulsa, Ok, Cox Communications is hiring for Service Technicians.

just sayin'

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

Probably a recruiting service that is contracted to Verizon. My wife works for a medical instrument repair company as a sales recruiter and she posts jobs and tracks down resumes all day long and does the initial phone interviews to weed out the candidates.

Speed, I work for Verizon as a FNFT. It's not unussual to have someone from texas calling about a NY job posting. If you have any questions PM me. I do know they are ramping up to start installing FIOS in the 5 burros <sp?> in and around manhattan.
Its is ALOT better to post your resume here
http://www22.verizon.com/jobs

We dont normally go thru monster unless its a placement firm and they are hiring contractors which would be bad. Get on with verizon as regular full time.
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

If your young enough seek a different path of life, career.  I've worked for

LDDS that soon became WorldCom, MFSWorldCom, MCIWorldCom... Bernie Ebbers and other CEOs, CFOs screwed it up. They are now known as Verizon, Verizon Business, Verizon Wireless.

Williams Communications... CEOs screwed it up and ran with the money. They are known now as Level 3.

McLeodUSA..Bankrupted twice, CEO's are still making the BIG $$$ and sold off to PayTek.

Cox Communications.... LOL.  Ethical issues.

So if you are young enough seek a better path grasshopper.
