Another Question for the might Dan
« on: June 02, 2008, 10:20:55 AM »
Hello Oh mighty One
USAAF Hurricane
I am pretty sure this was used as a run around  and is  a MK IIB but
it was a Ex RAF combat plane,I was wondering if in your large collection you might have
any other reference to it of some more info.

Any idea what colour that would be?it looks to be just one colour?

That Hurricane is one of a few War Weary Hurricanes inherited by the 350th FG.  Our old Airwarrior buddy Earl Miller flew them on occasion.  It was nothing more then a squadron hack and each of the three squadrons in the 350th had one.  Two at least were converted to two seaters.

That site is run by the son of a 345th FS, 350th FG pilot Keith Vizscera.  Lots of pictures of Earl and company on there.  The Hurricanes were not combat birds.

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack
