I'm not sure if he's still alive. I'd like to say he still is. I would attend a local air show in San Diego where Dick Rossi, Charlie Bond, Tex Hill, Chuck Older , Eric Shilling and Catfish Raines would sit in what they called "Ace's Alley and sign autographs and answer questions. But that was years ago. Glad I got to meet them.

Sad news.

I had the pleasure of spending time with Charlie Bond several years ago in Dallas. I sold his house for him.

Amazing stories to be sure! He also gave me a framed "Flying Tgers" print autographed by all the crew that attended their previous gathering (including Dick Rossi). A treasure for sure.

I met Charlie Bond Veterans Day '04 out at Cavanaugh. Spent a little over an hour talking to him and getting an autographed copy of his book. Very memorable day to say the least.
