To all those who enjoy "Special Events"...
« on: October 30, 2000, 06:07:00 PM »
Gentlemen,

Since the Snapshots have been more popular then the Check 6! events I want to run them two times on Saturday. It will be the same event each time.

Saturday Snapshot at 1 PM EST Frame 1. This is a time that will work for many in the U.S. and those in Europe.

Saturday Snapshot at 9 PM EST Frame 2. This is a time that will work many in the U.S. and those in the Pacific.

This will start next weekend November 4th and 5th.

The Saturday Snapshots will be the same one each time. Each frame will hopefully attract those in all parts of our small world.

Check 6! Events will be on Sundays at 4 PM EST. Of course after the Afrika Corps is over. They will run for 2 hours. We are considering some different ideas to make them more popular.

Obviously we can please everyone, but my hope is this will give an opportunity to most players to participate in a "historical event" if they choose to.

Lastly, I wanted to encourage any of you out there that would like to write up a Snapshot or Check 6! event It can be difficult writing up new events every week so I would welcome new ideas.    If you ever wanted a particular event, but no one has ever done it or you would like to see a repeat let me know.  All you have to do is e-mail with your suggestion or request.

Gentlemen! <S>

Thanks Westy! Hope to hear from you.  Go to the events site to view the general layout of those events and you can see what you will need to do.

Am I mistaken, or won't the Saturday snapshot run during the Med leaugue when this change is implemented?

I've enjoyed the Med on Sats, and the Snaphots on Sundays. I don't mind the change to Saturday but I wish I didn't have to make a choice between two events that I look forward to.

To quote pyro over the phone, "You can't please everyone" when we chatted about time and days for the Shapshots and Check 6 events.

I picked the times and dates to serve as many as I could.  The Mediterranean League is not a HTC event, but the Snapshots and Check 6 are. The Mediterranean League will be over in a few weeks, the Snapshots and Check 6 events are here to stay.

I did my best to avoid conflicts, but that is not always possible.
