(Grin)

New ride is a 76 Mecury Comet, engine runs great, needs new tires, start relay, and some work on power stearing pump leaks. And... new paint. We are painting the roof cream, and the body blue (gold accents). Maby 1500 to 2000 to bring it close to "new" car looks....

How's the rocket doing?

The lander project is on Hiatus untill they release this years rules.(in fact I don't know if they are running it this year) Last year they (the X prize committe) said it would be an yearly event, but they havent given us this years regulations and our project is stalled untill we know more. (Pay load, allowed fuels, mandated instument package, hight required, lateral displacment, ect ect ect) Our concept demonstrator worked, (was 1/5 size, made from balsa and canvas with a gas R/C engine for thrust) but we cant scale up untill we know what is allowed.

The other projects in my life,

The 2926 restoration,
in progress, check our website especialy the photos section. (I rigged the lift of the sand dome for cleaning)

Repowering the Dodge D50 with steam,
On Hiatus, untill the Comet is on the road and leagle.

4 axis mobility for the sim pit,
On Hiatus untill I have some where to set it up.... (Wife Ack won't stand for it in the middle of the living room [sigh])

Transitioning to Linux Ubuntu running AH,
Parts on order for second laptop HD for dual boot setup, Reaqusition of Ubuntu disk,(orignal shattered in car wreck) pending on my parts connection...

Edit of latest sold story,
Waiting for the last of the pain meds to exit my system,
my "Voice" is difrent when I am in an altered state, and the editor dont like it (Sigh)

Basic refurb of the Comet,
New tiers, electical work, insurance, ect. tomrrow. Surface prep for the new paint on the roof the day after.( The vinyl roof was the worst thing to come out of the 70s) this will cure the most obvious fault in the cars looks.

First day back to work is Sat, (I used up 2 of my 46 weeks of accumulated sick leave)

The car wreck put a real dent in my world....

Regards,
Kevin
