Final Mission of TOD#1 in SEA this Thursday
« on: February 22, 2000, 12:48:00 AM »
The final mission of Tour of Duty #1 mission will be next Thurday night, 24 Feb, from 9:00 PM EST until about 11:00 PM EST. Participants should be present in the Special Events Arena (SEA) approx. 15 minutes ahead of time.  This mission will be a reinactment of a typical Luftwaffe intercept of a B-17 bomber formation, followed by a Buff-on-Buff duel.  It will be for registered TOD pilots and volunteers flying for the OPFOR.  Anyone not registered but interested in flying or gunning, please e-mail me.  Thanks, and see you there.

Well, looks like we should have a great buff force for the TOD folks to attack.  All
TOD (dead or alive), and anyone else, are welcome to participate in this last mission of TOD#1.  The Buccaneers are manning the bombers, and any all volunteers will be welcomed to also pilot a buff,  man the guns for someone else, escort, or join the last few surviving TOD pilots as they try to intercept and decimate the bomber formation.
This event will be in the Special Events Arena, and will begin at 9:00 PM EST.
This is when the buffs will launch, and we'll give them 15 minutes or so to get
formed up and climbing.  Then the Luftwaffe will launch and follow GCI instructions
to place themselves in the path of the Allied juggernaut.

Check in with me (Sabre) on the international channel upon arrive in the SEA,  and I'll assign people as they arrive to either side.  If you're assigned to the Allies, go to Rooks and check in with Jarbo.  If you're on the Luftwaffe side, go to Knights and check in with Wabbit, the senior surviving TOD pilot.

Following the TOD mission, we'll divide into two teams, man up as many bombers as possible with pilot and gunner, then have a big Buff slugfest duel.  Just my way of saying "Thanks for participating."
