GMT TOD 1ST FLIGHT AAR !!! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY...
« on: March 03, 2000, 04:32:00 AM »
Alright , here it is, I will try to be as Concise as I can be...
First of all, I want to Thank all those who have participated to this Event, especially the CO's who, I know had a LOT on their hands !

I also apologise for the little confusion in the beginning, as this is the 1st event I was organising, this taught me already a lot, and I hope to get better with time...

We were 36 in there last night and I AM STILL MISSING A LOT OF AAR's , please send your Status/Kill to me by Email at :  Saintaw@wardogs.org , if you wish to send me a film, please send at saw@wardogs.org (That one I can reach on a T3 at work...)

The Mission consisted of a JABO flight from the Axis on Field 7 (Field 7/8/22/21 were not considered as fields but Frontlines, the Order for German JABO was to drop bombs on Field 7 from High Altitude...). The Allied had a Scramble 5 Minutes after it was reported that a large group of Axis plane had taken off. The Axis were separated in 2 flights which set the Allied in a confusing position, thus were not able to intercept the Axis JABO before LARGE DAMAGE to Allied Ground Troops was done (Hell I was sitting in the Tower of Field 8 and it was raining bombs....)

The AXIS JABO was a complete success, as all bombs fell on TGT (Airfield 7), then the Allies showed up. There were lots of losses on the Axis side due to a Communication problem (Jabo flight Didn't hear the RTB call from their CO). 70% of the Axis flight force was destroyed in this Fighter Sweep, The  Allied caught the JABO flight Low (10K for Bomb drops)...

95% of the Axis pilots that bailed out were recovered by their friends that had the Courage to plane in a C47 !!!

Here is the Report (Temporary, as I am stil missing a lot of your Emails...)

WTG BLITZ FOR 4 KILLS !!!!
WTG WHITEY, THANK YOU FOR THE GOOD EXAMPLE!

I WILL REWRITE SOME RULES HERE IF THEY WERE NOT CLAR, AND I WILL POST IT ON THE TOD GMT SITE THIS WEEK :

ONE LIFE ONLY : If you Die in the TOD, your TOD as an active pilot will be over, however , you will be able to fill the Opfor flights as needed

REPLANING :
IF YOU BAIL OUT OVER ENEMY TERRITORY : You have to walk home (to nearest friendly field/ground forces available) This can be made shorter if you are picked up by a C47...

IF YOU BAIL OUT OVER FRIENDLY TERRITORY:
You can Replane in a C47, and go fetch your friendly downed pilots. You will have to land near them, they will "join" your plane, then you will have to land at a friendly AIRFIELD.

IF YOU LAND YOUR PLANE ON A FRIENDLY FIELD THAT IS NOT YOUR MAIN FIELD : (This is to simmulate that there is a designated Squadron by Field, thus ie: Fighters are not available in all fields...). You can also replane in a C47 to Either Pick up friendlies OR fly to your MAIN FIELD, then REPLANE IN ORIGINAL FIGHTER...(See NExt)

IF YOU MANAGE TO LAND ON YOUR MAIN FIELD (The one you took off from):
You can Replane in your Original fighter and Join th fight again if it is not over...

PLease ask questions here or by Email if it is not clear....
